I love winter because it's the time of the year where you can drink your favorite hot winter drinks, like cocoa! My favorite drink of the season is the Irish Coffee. How about you? What do you love to drink when the weather gets cold? What fun things do you use to garnish your drinks – candy canes in hot chocolate or cinnamon sticks in your hot apple cider? How do you get that perfect swirl of chocolate or puff of nutmeg on the top your drink? hat non-traditional glasses work well for serving drinks?
Here's the recipe for my favorite. Enjoy!
The Irish had the right idea when they combined robust Irish whiskey with hot, black coffee. This hot cocktail has long been a favorite in Irish pubs, with a popularity that could be said to rival Guinness (as tough as that may be). Beyond choosing the best Irish whiskey possible, using fresh whipped cream can turn the mundane Irish Coffee into something spectacular.
